  • To plan, design, deliver, evaluate and commission leadership, management, and statutory and mandatory training for the Trust
  • To be a learning and development (L&D) consultant to the Health Care Groups, and all Divisions.
  • To provide specialist advice, facilitation and guidance relating to leadership and management development for teams and individuals
  • To support the development of a positive performance management culture that delivers improved organisational performance and effectiveness.

  • To lead the creation and delivery of a leadership and management development strategy that feeds into the overall People Plan and improves the capability and effectiveness of leaders and managers at all levels
  • To work in collaboration with the strategic HR business partnering team to understand the leadership population development needs in order to design the most effective solutions for upskilling leaders and managers.
  • To establish a leadership development steering group/forum to ensure strategic oversight of the leadership development strategy implementation.
  • To maximise the use of the learning management system, branded as This Is Me System, (TiMS), for electronic and online media as part of a blended learning approach
  • Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Manager to increase the number of leadership apprenticeships, raising the profile of these and liaise with external education providers.
  • Collaborate locally, regionally and nationally, develop appropriate integrated system responses and ensure that the Trust operates within best practice, legal and policy frameworks at all times

  • Experience of being creative and innovative in the design of blended development solutions, including digital learning solutions, whilst recognising the needs of the audience, accessibility and any project budget.
  • Extensive experience in setting key performance indicators, evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of development interventions

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills across a wide range of staff and professions
